He said he would rescue us, but we waited and waited and waited; it got darker and darker and darker---and then he came! God’s word of promise wasn’t just “successful” in Christ; his word was fulfilled. God’s promise of what he would do became an in-person doing, an incarnated “Amen,” and the greatest encouragement that he will yet fill to the fullest every promise he has spoken.
