To My Friends: Handle with Care!

So many people in this world claim to speak on God’s behalf, even to have some special revelation to share. If someone claims to speak for God, to have a word of prophecy, what are we supposed to do? With enough Bible-ish words and religious garb, it could be too easy to think something false has a ring of truth to it. On the other hand, with so many false prophets in the world it is too easy to dismiss all contemporary prophecy to the rubbish bin and wash our hands of it. But God instructs us to a narrower, more challenging way of neither despising prophecy nor accepting all claims to it.
