To My Friends: Unexpected

Expectations can be complicated. On one hand, they help us prepare for what we believe is coming. On the other, they can set us up for disappointment when reality doesn't match what we had in mind. When Jesus entered the world, He defied many of the expectations people had for the Messiah. For some, this made it difficult to recognize Him as Savior. For others, He was exactly the kind of unexpected hope this world needed.
