Ins & Outs: The Reviled

Popularity usually feels good, but it’s a pretty unreliable indication of our proximity to rightness and righteousness. Jesus is up-front with his followers that his Way is not popular or easy and that being faithful to him will bring them into disrepute and even persecution. Yet, in God’s great inside-out kingdom, when Christians are reviled, excluded, defamed, or hated for their Christ-likeness, it’s an occasion of great joy.
