Our guest speaker this weekend is Bethani King, founder of On the Ground International (OTGI). Bethani’s passion for refugee work was forged through hands-on experience — first volunteering in Lebanese refugee camps near the Syrian border in 2016, then serving on a boat landing crew and in children's programs for Afghan refugees on the Greek island of Lesvos in 2018.

Moved by the unfolding humanitarian crisis in Venezuela, she traveled to Colombia to assess the need firsthand, and what she found inspired her to build a bridge between global donors and the local organizations doing quiet, vital work on the ground.
