Unburdened: No Bitter Root

Nursing and rehearsing our emotional wounds—hanging on to hurts and unforgiveness—has been likened to drinking poison and hoping the other person is going to die. But as those who have drunk deeply of grace, the goodness of God compels us to share kindness with those who are unkind, to share help with the unhelpful, to share love with those who are unloving. God’s love absolutely can remove any root of bitterness that we’re willing to give up.
