Huy explains: “I grew up on a steady diet of Ninja Turtles, performative Catholicism, and pressure from my immigrant parents to make something of myself. Compared to my brothers—one a lawyer directing lawyers at Stanford's Center for Racial Justice, the other a dentist with a 7-figure practice, two homes, a Rivian, and kids in private school—I have failed. I don't hold a meaningful title, live check-to-check, drive a used car, and own nothing noteworthy. I was a slave to the idea of "success" until I met Jesus. Now, I no longer need proof that I have value.”
