SPIRITUAL COMPANIONSHIP
micro-groups
Faith was never meant to be a solo journey, and every single one of us needs an earthly friend as a companion in the light. Consider joining or starting a "micro-group": a group of 2-4 people living in the light together, practicing reading Scripture, prayer, and honesty, and meeting once a week.
You can choose your own group members. If you want to join a group and have no one to invite, we can try to link you up with an existing group or someone else looking for a partner. Visit pvclife.com/groups for more information.

THE JOURNEY TO WHOLENESS - Christ-centered Twelve Step Recovery
Thursdays at 7:00pm • Pleasant Valley Church Youth Room (Rm 5)
Journey to Wholeness is a support system for people of any faith (or lack thereof) who are struggling with things that are hurting them or the people they love. It presents a 12-step model for understanding God and ourselves as God’s creation.
This program is for anyone who finds him or herself in the grip of unhealthy dependence upon substances or other destructive behaviors. Journey to Wholeness assists participants in addressing an unlimited number of problems, traveling as individuals who are committed to health, healing, sanity, and serenity. It is built around small group interaction and the principle that people can achieve together what they cannot accomplish alone. Participants will discover that solutions lie in relying in God’s power manifested in the wisdom and strength of numbers rather than unaided human “will” or “willpower.”

“Thank you to all those who have called me and talked, given me cards and a lot of love and prayers! I seem to be holding my own and God is my guiding light!”

MEAL TRAIN FOR THE BORDERS
Caring for our fam!
Gaylene's surgery to repair her ankle went well. She has had varying degrees of pain and discomfort--the worst of the pain was soon after surgery. Her orders are to stay off her left foot until she is cleared by an examination of her ankle. She is getting stronger and more able to do some things for herself. We appreciate the love and support and prayers of our family and friends. With the main cook and meal preparer not able to carry on normal kitchen tasks, we are thankful for the outpouring of food being shared with us!
