OC CAMP MEETING 2025 FUNDRAISING CAMPAIGN

Matching Funds Available! Donate by March 31! Learn more at OregonAdventist.org

Thank you to everyone who has contributed to Camp Meeting so far. In January, members contributed over $18,000 to the Camp Meeting fund. Including matching funds, we’ve raised $97,300 toward our goal of $390,000. Yes, there’s more work to do to reach our goal. Yet God has been faithful to see our community through so far, and He can do it again. Let’s press together to see how God can work through us to bless and encourage the community.

Some have asked, “Why do we have to raise money by the end of March when the event is so much later?” The short answer: Planning. To do our best to make sure Gladstone Campground is safe and welcoming for all attendees, March is the time when we lock in service contracts and finalize plans for the thousands of hours of labor required to make sure the campus and programming are ready. By the end of March, it’s important for all of us to definitively answer the question that so many have asked: “Are we doing camp meeting this year?” By God’s grace, let’s work together to answer with a resounding, “Yes!” Also, there’s a brief video at https://vimeo.com/1056181775/e5b1680b0b that explains a bit about why there is so much urgency to set our fundraising deadline for the end of March. In the Adventist Church, the conference only receives offering reports once monthly (around the 15th). The next regular update on our progress toward the goal will be around March 15.

On campus, the finishing touches are being put on the new Gladstone Pavilion. As for camp meeting plans, Ty Gibson is planning to return as our featured speaker for 2025, and the Gladstone Park grounds team is making tentative preparations already. Now we invite everyone to join us in helping make this dream a reality in just a few short months!

Gladstone Camp Meeting is tentatively on the calendar for July 22-26, 2025. You can help ensure this event happens by giving online at https://orad.us/ORGiving or writing "Gladstone Camp Meeting" on your tithe envelope.

HVAS NOTIFICATION

REGARDING RE-ALLOCATION OF HVAS AUCTION FUNDS

The annual Hood View Adventist School Auction is scheduled for Sunday, April 27, 2025. The school board recently voted that funds raised this year will be used for playground improvements with any excess funds above what is needed for that project to be used for other campus improvements.

In 2020, the auction funds were designated for the addition of a natural playground. Although almost $40,000 was raised for this project, when quotes were received for the work, the cost far exceeded the funds available. The school board recently voted to re-appropriate the 2020 Auction funds in their entirety to be used for playground features and/or improvements. These funds would be added to any funds raised this year to go toward upgrades of existing playground features or adding additional features to the playground.

The school is required to share information regarding this reallocation of funds with constituent churches and the parents of students enrolled at the school for four weeks before finalizing this decision. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact the school office at 503/663-4568.
