ANNUAL OREGON CONFERENCE TOWN HALL MEETINGS

Oregon Conference annual town hall meetings are just around the corner––we’ll be holding five gatherings across the conference April 23-May 6. Each evening will begin at 6:30 PM with a light supper and a chance to read reports on how the conference is doing and connect with resources and guidance for your local church ministries. Round-table discussions, visioning for the future, and Q&A will follow. We hope you’ll join us!

This year’s town halls will be held at Bend Church – April 23, Rogue Valley Academy Gym – April 28, Emerald Academy Gym – April 29, Beaverton Church – May 5, and Meadow Glade Church – May 6.

OREGON ADVENTIST MEN’S CHORUS ANNUAL CONCERT

May 23, at 3:30 & 7:00 pm • Sunnyside Adventist Church, 10501 SE Market Street, Portland

You’re invited to the OAMC annual spring concert on Sabbath, May 23, at 3:30 or 7:00 pm, at Sunnyside Adventist Church. The two identical concerts are free and open to the public. A freewill offering will be received. The “Psalms of Praise” repertoire is based on selections from the Book of Psalms. The concert offers a great opportunity to invite friends and neighbors to join you to be encouraged by a message of hope and grace through uplifting music. In keeping with their mission, OAMC will be sharing about their planned mission to Brazil, assisting an evangelistic series by providing music of hope and grace in Jesus Christ.

A NOTE OF SADNESS

Memorial service May 31, at 11:00 pm • Walla Walla University Church, Heubach Chapel

Ione Richardson, an Oregon Conference Women’s Ministry assistant director, relief chaplain at Adventist Health Portland, and Bible worker in 15 Oregon Conference congregations over 46 years alongside her husband Pastor Gwynne Richardson, has passed away at 95. Her memorial service is May 31 at Walla Walla University Church, Heubach Chapel at 11 AM.

Medical Volunteers Needed at Big Lake!
Big Lake Youth Camp is looking for RN's, NP’s, PA's, paramedics, social workers, and counselors to volunteer at camp this summer! Spend Sunday through Friday at Big Lake helping support the health and well-being of our campers and staff so they can fully enjoy their week at camp. We especially welcome those with experience in family medicine, emergency care, or pediatrics. As a thank you for serving, a child of your choice can attend a week of camp for free! HELP BRING RECOGNITION TO OPERATION WHITECOAT VETERANS

Attention men who served in Operation Whitecoat, and their families. Over 2,300 Seventh-day Adventist volunteers who were conscientious objectors served in this 19-year research program. There is a project in the works that will place a sign along a highway in the state of Oregon honoring the brave contribution of those who served in Operation Whitecoat. Your help is needed to make this a reality, however. Not through monies, but by promotion and awareness of the history of this time in our history.
