A PASTORAL LETTER REGARDING COVID-19’S IMPACT ON PVC
Part of caring for our community is supporting efforts to slow the spread of COVID-19 by reducing our number of person-to-person contacts. In-person services at Pleasant Valley Church will be paused through April 8, or until further notice in cooperation with the Oregon Conference and guidelines from the Governor of the State of Oregon. This includes all in-person committee meetings and group Bible studies. The March 20 Relevance is also canceled.
Pleasant Valley will be Livestreaming an online-only worship service each Sabbath starting at 10:30 am. You can access the Livestream directly by using this link: livestream.com/pvclife. We encourage all our members to take advantage of this time to connect with each other in meaningful ways. Call friends that you know will miss our weekly fellowship the most. Enjoy Sabbath family time. And wash your hands!
Since we will not be collecting offerings in-person for the next several Sabbaths, please remember your tithe and local church offerings by clicking the “Adventist Giving” button at PVClife.com or directly at: https://www.adventistgiving.org/?OrgID=ANIFMG. You can also send your gifts by mail, marking your intent for each gift clearly.
Your pastors are still on the clock and available via phone or email for appointments and visitation. The office remains open from 10:00 am – 4:00 pm M-Th.
We hope you will join us via Livestream each Sabbath. Please watch for email and social media updates. These are uncharted waters for PVC and the Oregon Conference. We ask that you join us as we pray for health and wellness for our members and the greater community as we do our part to lessen exposure to this virus.
“So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.” Isaiah 41:10
Yours in Christ,
Pastors George, Greg and Ashok
